Adult Summer Reading Program

Adult Summer Reading Program 2018

Libraries Rock!

All Clackamas County library card holders ages 18 and older can join in the fun. Complete a Bingo Card or a Reading Log for entry into the Grand Prize Drawing at the end of summer.

The summer reading program starts Monday, June 11, for kids and teens, too! The summer reading program ends Friday, August 31. Turn in your completed Bingo Cards and Reading Logs by that date for entry into the Grand Prize Drawing.

What is the Adult Summer Reading Program?
An opportunity for adults to read books and win prizes this summer.

Who can participate?
Adult Clackamas County library card holders. If you don’t have a library card, just ask at the Circulation Desk and we will help you get one.

What can I read?
Anything you want! The Bingo Cards have certain categories (genre, format, etc.). Reading Logs have no limits; read books, magazines, newspapers, blog posts - whatever you like to read.

How do I sign-up?
There is no sign-up.

So what do I do?
Read! Choose how you want to play: Bingo Card or Reading Logs, or both.

Pick up a Bingo Card and read books in the different genres and do the activities to make 5 squares in a row. When you have finished a book, write the book’s title and author in the appropriate square. When you have a Bingo, turn in the Bingo Card at the Library. Each Bingo Card you turn in will give you another entry in the Grand Prize Drawing. Last day to turn in Bingo Cards is Friday, August 31.

Want more of a challenge? Complete a Bingo Card Blackout. Do the activities for every square on the Bingo Card and turn the completed card in for 5 entries into the Grand Prize Drawing AND 1 entry into a special drawing.

Want more freedom in what you read? Then read 20 minutes a day for 20 days and complete a Reading Log! Each Reading Log you turn in (limit of 4) will give you another entry into the Grand Prize Drawing. Last day to turn in Reading Logs is Friday, August 31.

When is the Grand Prize Drawing?
The Grand Prize Drawing will be held Tuesday, September 4.

What are the prizes?
Prizes include movie tickets and gift certificates to local businesses.

It all starts Monday, June 11. Stop by the Library to pick up the forms, or download the packet here. Maybe you'll find that next great read!
