parents and child reading - msThe Wilsonville Public Library offers a series of FREE classes for parents and caregivers on supporting literacy with your children.

Child Development Specialist Lindsey Collins will share research-based tips and techniques that will help your children on their reading journeys, moving from Pre-Readers to “Learning to Read” to “Lifelong Readers.”

Learn about the parent’s role as teacher and how easy and fun it can be to enrich your child’s learning experiences.

Each class will include time for questions on child development, learning to read, and other topics.

Three classes are scheduled, each one based on the age of the child:

  • Babies and Toddlers (ages 0-2) on Saturday, February 16th from 2:00 – 3:00 pm
  • Preschool Ages (ages 3-5) on Saturday, February 23rd from 2:00 – 3:00 pm
  • School Ages (grades 1-5) on Thursday, February 28th from 6:30 – 7:30 pm
