Wild about Oscar Wilde
J. Ehrstine
“I am so clever that sometimes I don’t understand a single word of what I am saying.” Oscar Wilde was known for his wit, his writings in a variety of genres, and his provocative life - a dangerous choice in Victorian England.
In this seminar, we will look at some of Wilde’s works, including The Importance of Being Earnest, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and other representative writings.
Professor Ehrstine’s seminars have been very popular and highly regarded. Texts, as well as films to aid in the study, will be available at the Library. Seating is limited, so sign-up early to reserve your seat.
